Features

Accu-Chek Active 3-dimensional view

A unique lancing device.
The Accu-Chek Multiclix uses an innovative drum containing six lancets which you do not have to handle individually ensuring that testing is safer and hygienic. The drum can be disposed in your household waste removing the worry of using a sharps bin.

Self contained lancet drum.
There is no longer the need to handle or even see the lancets themselves because 6 lancets are housed in a self-contained drum. Simply loading the drum into the end of the lancing device protects you from accidental pricks. When you are finished remove the drum from the device and dispose it with your household waste.

Virtually pain free testing.
Regular blood testing is a vital part of daily diabetes self-management. We know your fingertips can be particularly sensitive so blood glucose testing must be so gentle that for people with diabetes, even children, blood sampling involves no more than just a slight prickly sensation. Accu-Chek lancing devices achieve this by combining the following distinctive features:

  • Personalised comfort. With 11 depth settings on the Comfort Dial you can adjust the lancet depth to match your skin type and obtain just enough blood to provide an accurate test.
  • Patented Clixmotion technology. Clixmotion is the principle of dual-guided lancet motion meaning that both the forward and return motion of the lancet is precisely controlled without vibrations and oscillations. This special motion is the key to gentle blood sampling.
  • Precisely manufactured lancets. Specially designed Accu-Chek lancets are the result of exhaustive research. The special cut of the lancet and its smooth, polished surface mean that skin penetration is virtually friction-free and especially gentle.

Safety Advice: The Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device is intended for patient self-monitoring by an individual person only. It must not be used to collect blood in a multi-patient setting as it does not incorporate any features to protect from cross infection.

How to use

3 steps to faster and easier handling.

1. Press to prime

  • Press the priming button down like a ballpoint pen. The transparent release button turns yellow.

2. Click to prick

  • Press the lancing device firmly against the side of the fingertip and press the release button to lance.

3. Twist to move on to the next lancet

  • To change the lancet, turn the priming button as far as it will go, and turn back again. The white bars on the display show how many unused lancets are left in the drum.

How to change the lancet drum.
To change the drum, grasp the cap by the notch and remove it from the device. Insert a new drum—blue ring first—until it snaps into place. Replace the cap on the device. Used drums cannot be reloaded or reused. They can easily be identified via the red stripe.

How to use the AST cap.
Remove the blue cap from the lancing device. Attach the clear plastic AST cap, and twist the dial until you reach your chosen setting. Prime the lancing device, and place the AST cap firmly against the selected site. Press the release button to lance.
