Strips

The new all-in-one Accu-Chek Compact Plus system for people who want to test anytime, anywhere. No more strip handling with the integrated drum.

No strip handling.
Just insert the easy-to-load Accu-Chek Compact test strip drum including 17 test strips and press a button to begin testing.

Small blood sample.
Accu-Chek Compact strips require a small blood sample size of 1.5 micro litres.

No coding.
All the information is contained in a barcode on the drum so no coding is necessary.

Advice: When you take a test strip from the vial make sure you close it immediately afterwards to preserve strip quality.

Accu-Chek Compact Plus 3-dimensional view

  • No more strip handling. The load-and-go drum comprises 17 preloaded test strips.
  • Brightest display—easy to read. The big, glow-in-the-dark screen and the bright characters emitted by the OLED facilitates the reading.
  • Fast measurement time. The meter has a 5-second measurement time.
  • Preset time and date. The meter now comes with the time and date preset, so start-up time is faster.
  • Test reminder. The user can set up to three automatic reminders to help remember when to test. This adds to your convenience and safety.
  • Adjustable hypo thresholds. By using the hypo warning the user can choose one out of three hypo thresholds (60, 70, 80 mg/dL). The meter warns the user if the blood glucose level is below the chosen setting.
  • No coding. The meter automatically self-codes to ensure the accuracy of your test.
  • Integrated lancing device. The Accu-Chek Softclix Plus is attached to the meter for higher convenience but can also be used detached from it.
  • Data transfer. The meter has an infrared port enabling you to download stored test results to a computer with Accu-Chek Smart Pix device.

Testing Blood Glucose.

  • With the new Accu-Check Compact Plus meter no strip handling is necessary. The load-and-go drum comprises 17 preloaded test strips.
  • Pull down the central test button to release a test strip. The meter will turn on automatically and the display flashes a symbol with a test strip and a blood drop.
  • Hold the meter so that the test strip is pointing downwards. Touch the drop of blood against the front edge of the test strip where the black notch is located. The strip draws the blood.
  • The result is displayed after approximately 5 seconds and is automatically stored with time and date in the memory.
  • Pull down the central test button to eject the used test strip.

  • Twist the cap to the required depth setting (11 settings in total).
  • Press the top of the lancing device down. The lancing device is now primed.
  • Place the lancing device against the chosen site and press the top of the lancing device down again until it lances.
  • To replace the lancet, remove the end cap and gently press the end of the lancing device down to release the lancet.
  • Slide a new lancet into the lancet holder and push it in until it clicks into place.
  • Remove the protective cap from the lancet with a twisting motion.
  • Press the end cap back on the lancing device. The cap snaps into place with a click.
  • The lancing device can also be detached from the meter using the release button.

In addition to fingertip testing, the new Accu-Chek Compact Plus can be used for testing on alternative sites, including the palm, forearm, upper arm, thigh or calf.1 Alternative site testing requires the use of a special lancet cap.
