07.10.2010 - National Awareness Campaign for Diabetes in Lebanon

Under the patronage of his Excellency the Lebanese Minister of Public Health, Dr. Mohamad Jawad Khalife, the National Diabetes Program in the Ministry of Public Health, in collaboration with the Lebanese Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipids and Roche, launched the “National Campaign for the Early Detection of Diabetes” during a press conference held on September 1st, 2010 at Habtoor Grand Hotel, Beirut.

06.08.2010 - Oman’s Road to Diabetes Awareness

Diabetes mellitus (DM) prevalence in Oman has increased significantly over the last decade. This negatively affects Oman’s community and economy. To address the issue, the National Health sector in the Sultanate has developed disease committees, which create policies and programs to better control this emerging health problem. One of the most renowned and powerful associations is the Omani Diabetes Association (ODA) which was founded in 2005 by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

12.07.2010 - Empowering more than 1000 Health Care Professionals on Structured Testing in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 

Saudi Arabia has a high prevalence of diabetes; hence effective diabetes management is a very relevant topic for many people in the country. Keeping this in mind, the Roche Diabetes Care team in Saudi Arabia organized a lecture series titled “Empowering Physicians and Patients through Structured Testing” in May 2010. More than 1000 health care professionals attended 5 lectures on Effective Diabetes Management in different cities across the Kingdom.
